I choose, the god will safe me, Dean, Areum and Emily’s film which written by Mengshen. The story is about the man’s life. There is a man and god in this story. One day there are big flood in his town, so he doesn’t know what to do. So he went to the balcony and waited for god’s message. Suddenly, a man who riding on a camel said “I can save you, can u come down stair?” He said no and a man was gone. The flood is worse than before. Later man who riding on a boat said “I can save you, jump down the balcony.” However he said “no” and a man was gone. The flood is worse and worse. So finally he climbed the roof. A helicopter can save him but he said “no”. At the end of the story, he died and met the god. He asked the god “why you are not save me?” The god said to him “oh poor guy, I sent three mans to save you but you said no!”

In the film, Emily acts the main character, Dean acts god and Areum acts the man who is helping the main character. I think they remember whole of the sentence in the film is pretty good thing. Also they use lots of sound effects such as helicopter sound, rainy sound and storm sound. When I heard the helicopter sound, I feel like the helicopter almost closed. It makes me so real.

My favorite effect which they used is “drawing picture”. As you know, they cannot find the camel, boat and helicopter. So it is really good idea for making film, if they cannot find material which they need. Beside when I see the film, that drawing helps to understand the film’s story. One thing I desired this film is that I cannot hear their voice very well. If they fix this problem, it would be great for film.

I brought some valuable advice from Mengshen’s story which is that “The god will save me”. Other words, I can learn if you have a chance in your life, take the chance immediately. If you miss that, you will regret bitterly.

The truth of misconception. At the first time, I could not imagine what the main story about this, and I read that story again and again. However, after watching this movie, I could understand clearly about that story. Personally, I usually enjoy reading a book more than watching a movie since book is made me to imagine their situation, their background, and so on. So I really interested in imagine about that story. However, through this movie, I thought a movie is enough to give some interesting for viewer, and sometime, it is better than a book.

The movie which is The Truth of Misconception is about story of Jessica who is a smart girl. It happened on one day when she studied in the library. She wanted to go to library to study for her SATs but on one morning, she arrived at there but she could not find a seat. Few minutes later, she could sit down the middle of one table. On that table, 5 guys already seated and studied. After sitting down that place, her nose started runny. As a result, 4 guys on that table leaved from there one by one, but only one man still seated next to her. After a while, she wanted to leave from there. At that time, she heard the sounds of farting.

This movie is based on the Julia` s story and group 1 was well-edited to a new movie. I have some reasons for this.

First of all, in the movie, Jessica’s monologue was perfect. Her voice’s tone, volume, and so on was well-fitted on their movie. I mean, Boram’s voice is really good at Jessica. So her voice was enough to describe her feeling and thinking.

Secondly, their background music was perfect to their movie’s atmosphere. The movie was little bit calm and tranquil. So background music was well-fitted on it. If that music has a lyric that made viewer was confused and viewer will not be able to concentrate to the movie.

And also, their multimedia techniques are really nice. As well as the starting the movie, all of their skills are advanced skills. Their movie was made with their skills, as a result, it was become a great movie.

The truth of misconception could give some interesting! It was really funny and because of the sounds effect, all of viewer was laughing! With above reasons, I strongly recommend this movie to others!

The Movie Review " The New Life"

The movie “The New Life”, which is based on Areum’s story, is a movie about a girl. She thinks that her life is continuous of tediousness and spends her precious time without ambition of life. This movie started with the scene that the girl grouses about her monotonous daily life as soon as she wakes up in her bed. And then, she gets out of her room to go to school as usual. When she crosses the crosswalk, she realizes that a car is coming toward her rapidly. In an instant, she’s dead. She doesn’t recognize her death and can’t accept the reality that she is dead. After a while, she regrets about her life because she have never lived her life passionately in any cases. The last scene is in her room again. She is lying in her bed and wakes up in her bed. That’s right. It was her dream. She is delighted that she is still alive and determines that she is going to live the rest of her days with ambition.

Settings, back ground music, and editing are all good in this film. Especially the back ground music grabs the audiences’ attention. In movie, the back ground music decides the ambience of specific scene. From clam music to strong music, all sound tracks matched appropriately in this movie. Settings are also perfect. I could feel her enervated personality through her dark and glooming room. The flow of the scene is also natural so that I can easily understand the story of this video. The most interesting element in this movie is outtake collection that is end of this video. While watching the outtake collection, I couldn’t help but laugh because of their funny actions and clumsy mistakes. Julia and david’s acting are also nice to watch even though their inexperienced acting. For these reasons, I could watch this movie with joy.

MOVIE REVIEW: GOD WILL SAVE ME

The movie was about a drown Teacher after his city was attacked by heavy flood and he happened to be the only survivor but ignorantly believed that God will send His angels with wings to come and rescue him which God indeed sent but not in the form of angels with wings as he believed but in the form of man because God’s thinking is not like that of a man.

The first day, God send a camel farmer from another village to save this teacher and when asked to be rescued, the Teacher said no that he is waiting for angels from God and all he has to do is to pray which he did.

The second day, another angel came in the form of a boat man to rescue this drown Teacher but rather than go with this man, he turned the offer down and said my God whom I serve will send His angel with wings and save me, all I have to do is to pray and he engage in another prayer session.

The third day, God send a rescue team with helicopter to save this man again, but he still decline the offer waiting for angels with wings from God until his body couldn’t take it again due to cold and hunger and he eventually died.

On getting to heaven, he ask God while he neglected him in the time that he needed him most by not sending an angel to him and God answered him and said I sent three angels to you on different occasion but you declined there offer.

This movie has really thought us a lesson in that in spite of our believe, God will neither come down from His throne will He send an angel with wings to our rescue but will use a fellow human being to help us in time of our problems.

This Teacher’s ignorance to how God work make him to suffer on earth and still condemn in heaven. My advice to everybody is to always use our senses and go for any opportunities that comes our way when we are in need.

The Movie Review about "The New Life"

For the final project, we were put into three groups, with each group creating a single movie based on last project, which was to write a fiction story. As a result of this, we totally made three movies, which are “The truth of misconception”, “The new life” and “God will save me”. Of the three, the most interesting movie was “The new life” to me. That’s not only because I wrote this story, but also because it was described and filmed better than I imagined when I made it.

The following is a brief summary of this movie. It’s the story about a girl who feels bored with her life and is interested in nothing at all. One day, on her way to school, she had a car accident. When she wakes up, she realizes she was dead! She cannot believe this, so she heads to her home. There, she realized how boring her life was and how terribly she lived. She thinks that if she had one more opportunity to live, she would live differently from the past. Thinking about this, she falls asleep, and after few hours later, she wakes up and is told about her accident. All of a sudden, she feels her eyes are filled with tears and realizes the real value of life.

While watching this movie, I could find some good points. First of all, the sound effects of the movie were appropriate in different situations. They include the sound of alarm clock, car accident, and ambulance. Second of all, it has a scene taken from a distant angle and a close-up scene, which maximize effect of the situation. Third of all, some pictures were inserted in place of the scenes that are difficult to film, and it kind of reminds the audience of something like cartoon or animation, which could make this movie funnier and more interesting, I think.

When we go to the theater, it’s not that hard to find a movie which a written story was adapted into. I thought it would be an easy task, because it already had the completed story. However, through this project, I could realize the difference between written story and scenario and the way they express the world. When it comes to making a movie, we have to consider a variety of things, like sound, props, actors and actresses, and background. It means that, unlike a written story, we need to think of three-dimensional aspects to make the movie look more natural and realistic.

The Truth of Misconception:A story with a smelly ending

Las week the movie The Truth of Misconception was released. The Truth of Misconception is the story of Jassica, a very studious girl that is trying to keep it up and studying as hard as she can for her SATs. One morning, she wakes up with a runny nose and the same day, she arrives to the library, and because it´s fairly late she cannot find a seat anywhere, until after minutes and minutes of looking for one, she finally finds an empty chair in a table for 6 people and decides to sit down and start studying. Because of her runny nose, every single person at the table leave little by little, all except another student that cannot stop staring at her until she feels uncomfortable and she leaves, no before hearing a funny noise.

From the beginning of the movie we can see how skillful the editors of the movie are. They did a great job presenting the 2 main actors at the beginning of the movie where we don´t know what the story is about yet, so we can´t judge any of the characters, but we meet them as equals.

As for the sound part, the soundtrack chosen for the film couldn't suit it any better. It´s not slow but not quick either. It is funny and easy to follow. It keeps the audience totally entertained by it. In the presentation it seems as if the characters were moving at the song´s speed, marvelous.

The acting was pretty good too, both Mengshen and Boram try not to be scared by the camera and since there wasn´t that much actual dialogue in between the characters, following the lines and the pauses is not something that the audience has to worry about. Also, the fact that they decided to record the voice on top of the movie as her thoughts was pretty clever, once again, editors, I wouldn't have been able to do it myself!

Finally, I would say that what it makes this movie great is the fact that it doesn´t seem artificial! Who has never had a runny nose? And what about...being late to a place and not finding any empty places for oneself?? We have all been students at some point and we have all been at a library at least once. The audience can really connect with the movie and relate it to themselves. This group makes the film very smooth, natural, and enjoyable. Very good, I would say that this group knew what they wanted and they knew how to get it all together. It can be told that they knew how to use all the applications in the program we used. I loved it! Congrats!

The review of The New Life


There are several important things for a good movie, the resolution of picture, the sound effects, the conversation between characters and the plot. I think The New Life achieved all these goals.


First of all, the movie is clear and steady.
I think a clear and steady picture is the basic thing for a movie, especially for the audiences. If a movie is shaky, audiences will feel dizzy and nauseous. When audiences cannot focus on your movie, they will lose their interests immediately, no mention try to figure out what deep meaning your movie is trying to present. What’s more, the shot should have focus, not matter is the main characters or a certain object, it will help the audiences to concentrate on the plot.





Secondly, the sound effects are good.
In a movie, sound effects and background music is another important factor. They work like catalyzer in a chemical reaction. With sound, the feeling and emotion can be amplified hundreds of times. And it’s helpful to clarify the type of move. Please mute the movie when you watching it, if you never watch our movie before, I’m sure that you will have lots of question marks in your head. What kind is this movie? What happens in the movie? Why are they talking about? You may figure out something from it, such as setting, characters and time, but nothing else. But if you turn on the sound, I’m sure you will immediately say this is a comedy or tragedy because of the lively or sad background music. And your emotion will change according to the music.


Thirdly, the monologue is clear and loud.
A good monologue or conversation should be loud, clear and no grammar mistake. Because monologue is an important way for audiences to get information about the story. To me, if I cannot hear what the characters are talking, I have no patient to keep watching. Since this movie was took place in a , the actress have a long monologue in self talking and mind, and the last short conversation. Thanks to the actor and actress clear pronunciation and good quality recording equipment, they achieved all these requirements.

Fourthly, the consistency.
This movie presented a complete story. It introduced the background information at the beginning, then the cause, course and the end. The consistency makes the audience easy to understand and follow. When audiences finish the movie, they will still remember because it’s logical. Why consistency is so important? I can explain it with an example. I still remember when I first time watching The Matrix, I can’t follow the plot at all until my fourth time. It jumps from a fake world to the real world frequently. But I am not saying The Matrix is not a good movie, what I mean is in a short movie like we did, we should make it easy to understand and follow.
What’s more, the meaning of this story is so appositive.

Finally, the most intering and the most important part, the moral.From this movie, I learned that rather than chasing something I do not have, I should appreciate something I already had.

That’s why I think this movie is best.

The Movie Review

Mengshen said about his book as a base for the movie God Will Save Me “It’s good to have principles when achieving a goal, but don’t be too stubborn when others offering helps. Change your mind. Think again, it might be your real chance”. The movie teaches us well why he pointed out the importance of accepting other’s help.

The Movie is all about a religious girl who prays every day for everything. One day, a serious flood attacked her town and destroyed all the houses besides hers. She went up to the roof and prayed to God to save her. While she was praying, she had several chances to be rescued but she refused all because she believed God save her. Despite her belief, she was drowned and met Got in the heaven. She couldn’t understand why God didn’t save her. But then the God told her the true meaning of his help.

Of course, the movie makers as students couldn’t afford to have real setting and props for the movie. However, this is such a great movie because they did the great work to make the movie realistic with three major factors: the costumes, the pictures, and the sounds.

First of all, the actresses wore the costumes which can symbolize the characters well. The costumes are one of the important factors that make the movie more interesting and realistic. Even though the setting is perfect it is easy to ruin the movie, if there is no proper dress. However, they wore the right dress such as turban scarf for the man with a camel, blue stripe-shirt for sailor, and pure white shirt with lace for God so that the audience could realize their characteristics. Their costume helped a lot to increase the reality of the movie.

Second, the use of pictures made the movie far more interesting. They used many pictures of flood so that the audience can feel urgency of the situation. Also, they used drawing of the manner of given helps and all of them played important role to make the better movie. Especially, the effect of drawing of helicopter was really awesome. They put the helicopter just in front of the camera so that it looks much bigger than the actress. There was no doubt that the pictures made more interesting and entertaining movie.

Lastly, the sounds effects helped to make it a better movie. They used various sounds such as wind, flood, rain-dropping, and the noise of helicopter for the better explanation of the setting. Although the sky in the movie was clean, the sounds made the audience under the illusion of flood. The sounds effects caused the movie to become good.

Overall the movie, God Will Save Me was great. However, there was a small thing should be improved for the perfect movie. Sometimes, the sounds effects were too loud to distract the conversation of the actresses. It would be wonderful if it has lower volume of sounds in the movie. Despite of this weakness it is safe to say that the movie was truely a great piece.

Movie Review Assignment

I choose the movie, the truth of misconception. Although I was the author of this story, I could felt that the story got better with seeing with the movie; it was easy to understand the scenario. The brief story is that a nose runny girl goes to the library; however, she was forced leave the library by a man because of her nose. When she was leaving, she hears the sound of farting. By reading or listening of this story could be not interesting and bored. However, the film brought the interest back to the audience. There are two reasons why I like this story. First reason was how they directed and filmed this movie that they filmed and dubbed the dialogue and speech. Second reason was that the actors and actresses acted so well that they even added extra actors to make it more professional.

First, this movie was well directed that they did not distracted other students while they film the movie. Because the movie took a place in the library, it was probably hard to film in the library because the students were supposed to be quiet all the time. However, they thought about another students that they dubbed the dialogue after they film the movie. Also they added many sound effects such as runny nose and fart sound. This was really thoughtful. In addition, they introduced each character before the movie began that it was easy to understand the movie while I was watching; if they did not introduce the character, then the story could be complicated. Also, the actors assimilated the each character that they pointed out the important characteristics. For example, the protagonist has to be look like a nerd, so she wore the glasses and dressed up like a nerd. Also, she was holding a huge book that it looked like readable by only the nerd.

Second, they used the extras in this movie that those extras heavyweight in the movie. Unlike other movies, this movie was probably needed many extras, so they hired other extras. The interesting facts about those extras were their acting was almost professional actors. The story could be well improved because of extras. Even extras gave a strong impression that I could remember every single extra’s faces. I think I enjoyed this movie because there were extras.

I was worried about the filming this movie because it needed many characters and sound effects. I actually surprised after watching this movie because the movie explained the story perfectly that some of the part was better than original story. If I directed this movie, I probably could not film it like the way they did. Therefore, I choose this movie as my favorite movie among the rest of movies.

Movie Review: The True of Misconception

Plot:
The story started with a library girl who went to the library for preparing for exams then happened something awkward but funny thing with her running noise in the library. She was trying hard to stop her running noise in order not to bother the other students' studies after she found a empty seat in the crowded library. Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tried, the annoyed noise from blowing her noise made not only her but also the other people around her fail to concentrate on studying. Therefore, those people gave up their studying and left the seat one by one, except for a headphone guy. He was listening to the music at that moment so he didn't hear any noise around him. However, he started looking at her after the study table only left the girl and him. Why he kept looking at me? Did I bother him? He kept smiling to me! The girl couldn't help wondering. Suddenly, the sound of fart exposures in the air from the headphone guy, he looked at the girl embarrassedly. She suddenly realized what he tried to convey at last moment, they were both suffering the pain from failing control the situation.
Opinion:
From the first scene, the "IEP Film Maker" popped out on the screen with the background voice was really good. I felt like I was going to watch a real movie in the movie theater.
The introduction was also very creative; we were able to watch some later scenes beforehand with bright color background. I also like the music through the whole movie. It was matched with the story and the atmosphere very well. It was very delightful.
It's interesting that they use different angles to film so audience could understand each scene from different views and help the plot move more fluently.
The sound effects were perfect, without these appropriate funny noise and sound, this movie wouldn't be so successful. Besides, it seemed more funny and interesting for me that the dubbing sound for the main character was quite claim but the situation was actually quite embarrassed.
The description was also very clear; it helped audience to know what's exactly going on.
Though not only the background and the sound effect but also the action from those character's acting, it is a really worthy movie to watch, I strongly recommend every body to watch it!

On the Beach

This is a real story that I experienced when I was a young girl. It is the most unforgettable and horrible happening that occurred to me on the beach abruptly and instantly. I was almost dead on the beach. I have never had such a desperate feeling in all my days since I was born. It was hot summer day and my family was on summer vacation on the beach as we usually do in summer. The beach was full of people and everybody including my family was enjoying the beautiful scenery of the sea and joyful feelings. We sat down on the beach and ate a watermelon and foods for lunch. Everything was fun and perfect before I jumped in to the sea.

After lunch, I wanted to swim in the sea riding on the waves because riding on the waves was the most exciting thing that I could do in the sea. When I jumped into the sea the waves became bigger and bigger and the large waves made me fun. Suddenly, huge waves came over to me and I thought that this wave could make me more exciting. But it was totally wrong idea. The gigantic waves swiped over my body and I swept under the wave. I couldn’t breathe and figure out what was going on to me. I was in a panic. I struggled to reach my feet under the sea, but I couldn’t. I went too far from the beach because of the huge waves. The next time, I realized that my tube punctured and I lost my hat that my father gave to me for my birthday present.

I tried to swim toward the beach, but I couldn’t because I was afraid of death. The sea was too cold and dark. My mind was full of frustration and fear. Suddenly, I could die if I didn’t try something to survive. I started to find something that floated on the water. And I found a floating small mattress in the sea and I tried to grab that mattress. I started swimming with the mattress. It was hard to swim because of the waves, but I made a great effort to survive. Finally I reached the beach safely.

I told my parents about that accident which occurred to me and my brother tried to relieve me. Since then, I swear that I’m going to pay attention when I jump into the sea again.

The fist football game

It was such a nice morning with the bright yellow sun and fresh air from the grass through the window. I stretched out my two arms and found my heart was throbbing. I was so excited because it was the day that I watched a football game in the first time of my life. From early in the morning I learned how to cheer Ole Miss football team and practice out loud with my friends.
“Are you ready?!
Hell yeah! Damn right! Hotty Toddy! Gosh almighty! Who the hell are we? Hey! Film flam! Bim bam! Ole Miss by damn!”
We kept practicing so that we could enjoy the game more than 100%.

After the light lunch we went to the Grove to se the tail gating. The band was playing music and people in nice dress were enjoying food and drinks under their red and blue tents. Everything was as wonderful as I imagined last night in the bed. I couldn’t wait more for the game.

Half an hour before the game my friends and I entered the stadium, took the seats in where all of the Rebels’ fans settled, and put our bags under the bleachers. It was amazing to be surrounded by hundreds of fans and to shout the chant together. Closer to the game more excited.

Finally my clock told me it was 3:30 p.m. The bands and the cheerleaders had the great performances and the players marched grandly onto the field. I cheered and clapped as any other audience did in the stadium. The game started and I concentrated on the game not to miss any scene of the game. Even though I didn’t fully understand the rule I was able to enjoy the game because I was happy enough to shout out the chant and to watch the scoreboard saying the Rebels were winning.

Until in the first few minutes of the second quarter the Rebels were winning. Every audience went wild as their team earned more and more scores. However, all of the sudden the opponent played striking well and turned the tide in the game in the middle of second quarter. People went much crazier. They started to shout as loud as a bird would fall from the sky, to drink bear more and more, and have more smoke.


My friends and I was little let down so decided to have some refreshments from the snack bar. I pulled out my bag under the seat to take the money for the snack. But then suddenly my eyes wide opened in surprise and my right hand holding the bag started trembling as to let it loose. I could even feel that my face turned red. “Oh my God! What is that on your bag?” one of my friends said. There was a hole burned by the cigarette. All of my friends and of course including myself stood speechless in the chock. I felt that I could not enjoy the game anymore unless I found who did this on my bag.

The break time started and I looked over the people around me to find some evidences. I found a woman holding her little baby in her arms who was standing on the floor where was littered with cigarette butts. I asked her, “Excuse me. Did you smoke during the game and threw the cigarette on my bag?” She answered me with the embarrassed face, “No, I didn’t. I’ve quit smoking since I had my baby. I guess that cigarettes were from someone else’s. Sorry about your bag, anyway.”


I found a drunken couple who were sitting behind me. I asked them, “Did you smoke during the game?” The drunken couple seemed not to listen to me. They kept going on the bustand shouting the chant. “Are you ready?! H…he…ll Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah! D…damn…” but then I caught he was holding a cigarette. However, he was too drunk to answer or even to understand what I was saying to him.

Lastly, I found a smoking guy who was sitting next to me. I asked him, “Excuse me. Did you smoke during the game, too?” He denied, “No. This is my first smoke. Look at this. I just opened it.” He showed me the pack of cigarettes with one cigarette missing. “Oh, I see. I’m sorry. Enjoy your smoking.” However, at the moment I turned, I found out the empty packet which was the same brand with the cigarette he was smoking under his left foot. I asked him again, “Then what is that under your foot.” “I don’t know. Is it yours?” he answered making annoyed face.

The game started again and all of the people in the stadium besides me began to be excited again. I tried to forget about the hole on my bag and to focus on the game. However, I couldn’t help thinking who had dome this terrible job on my bag. Eventually, the game ended up and the Rebels lost with one point. Everyone looked sad and disappointed. Especially, I was the one who looked sad, disappointed, and unpleased most.

A Red Book

A girl said “Did you remember that day?” And others which mean that two boys and one girl they gave a nod instead of an answer. They thought back to their past that days.

Two girls and two boys were walking down the street. Suddenly, a red book fell down in front of them. A boy picked up the book and saw what the book is. They can’t read the exactly word, because that book was really old.

So they moved to the class and figured out what the book is. They opened that book. There is only one page in that book. A girl said “What is this? It’s weird.”

This is the sentence in the book: When I am young, I go on four legs, then I go on two legs, then I go on three legs and then I die. What is your answer….? If you know this answer, write down your answer here, but your answer is wrong, no one knows what the future will bring.

They was mulling over the sentence for a long time. They can’t imagine four legs, two legs and three legs and so on. Suddenly, sound the horn outside. They looked outside through the window. On the street, the baby was crawling around the street and the baby's mother was following. Right behind them, a grandfather was walking down the street. A great idea rushed upon their mind at the same time.

They said “The answer is human being!” A human being is a baby, they crawling with their two arms and two legs when they grow up, they walking two legs and when they getting old, they walking with a walking stick.

They wrote down the answer on the book, suddenly that book was disappeared and they become rich… Many years left, they met each other again in that class room, they are laughing and reminiscing about that day.

In the outside, two young boys and girls found

a red book which they don’t know what the book is. They said “what is this book?”...

THE SPOILT KID

Mr & Mrs Davidson lives in Lagos, Nigeria. They were blessed with everything a man could think of, they are rich, lives in a good house, they have fleets of cars to go around with, eat good food, have good income but couldn’t have a child of their own to inherit all this property’s and this has been a source of sadness to them after 10yrs of their marriage.

Society looks down on them, they were mocked and called different names, family members advised them to file for a divorce and go their separate way, but in all this tribulations, Mr & Mrs Davidson remained faithful to each other, they fasted and prayed, visited spiritualist and eventually God answered their prayer and little John was born.

Because it took the couple many years before having little John, they spared nothing to make him comfortable, they showered him with gifts and he enjoyed what most of his peer group lack while growing up.

When little John got admitted into the high school, he mixed with bad friends and bad company they say corrupt good manners, hence he started misbehaving, class activities no longer interest him but rather enjoy bullying other school mate of his, raping girls and becoming a terror to the neighborhood. When the news of his activities got to his parents, rather than correcting him, all they said was that its youthful exuberance that is worrying him and that he will soon outgrow it.

By the time he got admitted into the university, things have really gotten out of hand and he couldn’t be cautioned again as he joined a notorious cult group and continue with his nefarious activities.

Things got to a head one day when little John’s cult group was involved in a fight with a rival group, which led to the killing of two and several others wounded, this made the school authority to invite the Police to investigate the matter and all those involved were apprehended and arraigned before the court of law including little John.

After much pleading from their lawyers, little John and his gang were given life imprisonment with hard labor while his parents Mr & Mrs Davidson were helpless and couldn’t save their little boy from the firm grip of the law.

The New Life

It’s a story about a girl who feels bored with her life. One day, she wakes up in the morning and takes a short shower as usual. She thinks that today is going to be the same as others. She makes a toast for breakfast while waiting for her hair to dry. She puts gray shirts and black jeans on and leaves for school. Waiting for the lights to be turned to green, she just stares somewhere between the buildings which tower like castles that are not easy to approach. She thinks it is changed to green, but she might not care about the color. Just when she thinks it is green, the thing happens, abruptly and unexpectedly. She only could feel crashed into something horribly cold and stiff before falling down on the ground.

She could see something approaching her. She does not know exactly what it is, but it makes her shudder. As time goes by, it looks bigger than before, but it still looks blurred. After quite a long time, of course she does not know how long it has been, a voice shakes her out of her sleep. She wants to say anything about something, but she could not say any single word. She realizes anything did not come out of her mouth, though she thinks she told something. Rather, she could not even move her mouth! After stood up, she could see herself still lying on the street, like a body. It was the weirdest scene that she has ever seen in her whole life. She was dead. It was the only possible explanation she could find about this situation. She does not know what she should do, so she goes back her home.

At home, she tries to find evidences for her life. However, all she could find is just how boring her life was. She realizes how terribly she lived. Even though there is nothing she can recall, she wants to live again. If there was one more opportunity, she would live differently from the past. Thinking about this, she falls asleep on her bed. After few hours later, she wakes up and opens her eyes. She could see she is in hospital gown. Just then, a nurse comes to her and says that she has had a car accident and was carried into the hospital. Suddenly, she could feel her eyes are filled with tears, and she makes her mind that she would live, not like the past. By this time, she realizes the real value of living, and the story ends.

Deep Purle Violet

Grace wake up by the sound of alarm clock blaring from her bedside table. She looked at the clock; it was 8a.m. in the morning while she was stretching her sour body. She rarely got more than four hours of sleep these days. Sleep was a hard thing to attain when your dreams kept you awake all night. She tried almost everything to make her life easier to fall asleep and stopped dreaming, she even went to to see the psychiartrist but it's still not working. Every night she had a same dream, she was wondering when it would stop since it didn't bother her too much. She was even quite used to it recently.

She pulled on a T-shirt and a skinny jean from her dresser and walked over to the living room, the furniture was still new and spotless and the space was quite spacious and clean except one corner was piled up a lot of boxes. It's not massy but definitely need to organize.

I willdo it this afternoon. She thought. She really like her new apartment and decided to rent right away when the landlady showed her the suite first time. Especailly the French windows on the right side, she could see those tall buildings and great mansions from far distance to the nearest clearly and the sun was right between them. She picked up the plate with some cookie chips left on it from the table and walked to the kitchen, except the glass and a bottle of wine. There's still left a little bit liquid in the wine glass, like the deep purple dew glistens in the sunlight, soon will evaporate to the air with the last sweet smell of vinous flavor.

Charles had loved Grace for almost five years. Since the forst day he saw her at the coffee shop near the campus. That's her first part-time job in the college, later she told him after they got more familiar. He could still remember she wore a white dress with the delicate lace on the bottom of dress at that day; she looked so elegant ans stunning. When she delivered the coffee to him with a timid smile and said "Thank you," he knew he would come to this coffee shop very often from now.

"Hey, how have you been, Grace. I haven't seen for a while." Charles looked at the picture on his table and sipping on his hot coffee carefully, waiting for her reply.

"I've been good." The voice on the other hand was elegant as usual, but added with a hint of maturity unlike her age."You?"

"Fine, I head that you moved to a new apartment, how was it?" Charles felt great to hear her voice again. He knew she needed some time to recover so he'd like to wait for her until she is willing to accept him.

"It was awesome, but I haven't organized my room yet. I probably need to work on it later. I just started my new job today. I couldn't believe I waste so many years not to do this. It's overwhelming fantastic!" He heard the smile in her voice, like she finally find out something she felt relax and happy.

"I knew you definitely like it!You had dreamed about being a cloth designer for five yr=ears and now your dream finally come true. Congratulations, I felt happy for you!" Knowing now she was starting her new life made him feel happy and relieved. When everyone cried in Emma's funeral, she was the only one without any facial expression. She stood there with blank eyes without speaking and looked so depressed and hopeless, like a broken dull stood there lifeless. Honestly, he really afraid that he would lose her eventually.

"Wow, we had known for each other for five years, time goes really fast, right?" She replied with a smile, looking at her nails. They were painted on a beautiful deep purple color, glisten in the air.

The voice between two side are both silent. They are both thinking of someone...

".....Tomorrow I will bring the violet for Emma, how do you think?" he asked.

"Erm... that's her favorite flower, thank you so much, Charles. She must feel happy if she knows that you will also be there tomorrow..." She stopped talking for a while and then continued

"You know.....I missed her so much~" she whispered, like she was trying to claim down but failed.

"I know, Grace. I know, I miss her,too. I have so many things want to talk to her..."

I will promise her I will spend my whole life take care of her, like I promise I will love Grace forever and ever and tried my best to make Grace feel happy every day. Charles thought, his hand was holding a ring tightly and his voice sounded determined and sincerely.

Grace slowly took out the rest of the stuff from the last box; the room now was clean and well-organized. She grabbed a photo album from the ground, it was covered by deep purple color, as same as her nails color and she opened it. Tow young girls smiled in those pictures, they looked so happy and energetic. Most important of all, their faces are extremely similar, like copied from the same model, except one is long hair and another one is short hair. She touched the picture with the short hair girl on it softly and whispered. "Hey, pretty girl. I miss you so much. Today I showed my sketch of my new cloth designing to my manager, you know what? She said my design was fantastic and she talked to me she couldn't wait to see the real items wore on the models. Did you remember our dream? I will become a famous cloth designer and you will be a super model after we graduate. You will show my designs on the runway show; mom and dad will be our guest sitting under the stage and feel proud of us, and also Charles...." Crystal tears started drop on the picture, one by one, like a pearl necklace feel apart but still kept its beauty.

"You must remember it, right? I will try my best to accomplish our goal, plus your part, my dear sister, but...but I still hope you can be my side right now and siad to me," I am so proud of you, Grace." She held the picture with trembling, tears kept come out that she couldn't see the face on the picture clearly.

"Tomorrow Charles will also come to see you, Emma. He promised that he will bring the deep purple violet to you, your favorite flower. He is really a nice person, isn't he? No wonder we both like him so much. Please, please forgive me, Emma, please forgive me to love Charles, even we are together, we won't never forget you. Never~" She looked at the picture; Emma smiled just like the shine of sun, dazzle like an angel. Yes, from the first day they met in their mother's womb, Grace knew that she wouldn't stop loving her no matter what would happen in the future.

The morning light was filling that apartment like water, streaming in through the window. The golden line against the wall was slowly rising, engulfing the inhabitant, Grace wake from the sunshine, she never felt so relax and energetic. She had a dream yesterday night but this time was different; Emma sited in the garden and touched Grace's face with soften eyes. "Thank you for always thinking of me, my dear sister. Don't feel sorry for me, I know you had done a lot for me; you changed your hairstyle, your favorite color and your habits. White is your favorite color, not deep purple. You always said that color is too deep and sad. You love it because that's my favorite color. I know what you are afraid, but you don't need to change anything. We are twins, so Grace is Emma and Emma is Grace, right? Don't be afraid you will forget me; I live in your heart just like you live in my heart. I know Charles will help me to take good care of you, so just go and love him, including my part. I will always think of you, like you always do and I always will..."

After that day, Grace never had that dream. She married to Charles after one year and they have a daughter soon after one more year passed, they named her "Emma."

In a café, one girl and one boy are seating down at table. They look so unfriendly. In front of them, two cups of coffee and one piece of cake are on the table. Few minutes later, they start to talk about them.

“Why we are in this café?” A girl said first.

“What date is it today?” A boy said.

And then, they keep silence again. She feels everything is very wonderful such as coffee, couch, clock and so on since she has never seen these things during her life. She came from the past. However, he thinks about that space is too old and traditional. Differently from the girl, he came from the future.

As you know, they came from other time. After a few minutes, they restart to talk to each other. They talk about their time and life. More and more talking, they are really interested in each other.

However, he is not just happy since he already knows about their future. In the future, they will not be able to live together since they have to return to their time soon. So he wants to remember her for a long time. He starts to explain their situation to her.

“Listen. You came from the past and I came from the future. So I already know about our destiny. We will part from each other and go back to the past and future and forget each other. But I think I will really miss you. And I don’t want to forget you.” He said.

“Um… So, what can we do for remember each other?” She said.

And then, he takes a paper and pen out of his bag and starts to write something. That is his name, his birthday and where is he from.

After writing that, paste his picture on that paper. She makes that same paper about her. Then, they promised they will never forget each other.

Shanghai, My Dream Land

My high school years were amazing. I was popular, everybody loved me, even everybody knew me!I was an only child, spoiled, I never missed anything at home, I could get anything I wanted. I was tall, blond, tan I had light green eyes ,...I had everything that any girl desired. Wherever I went doors opened for me. I must admit that as selfi

sh as it sounds I loved that life! I felt like a princess, I was invincible and I wasn't afraid of anything. Because of that, I loved trying new things like sports or foods. For this reason is that I decided to study abroad during my senior year in high school. I wanted to try new experiences so I chose China as my destination; I must admit that I had a decent level of Chinese at the time too. Thanks to this choice is that I write this story now.

May 22^nd 2009, I landed in Shanghai at around noon. Soon after , I realized that my English was not going to be of that much help there since taxi drivers couldn´t understand my accent! That had never happened to me before! I had to start using my poor Chinese right away or I would have had to stay at the airport for all the years to come. Everything was written in Chinese characters!!I couldn't understand a thing!

Thank God that somehow I ended up making it to the school I was staying at and, to make things worse, it was nothing like I had expected!No one talked or even looked at me! I wasn´t used to that at all, I even wasn´t used to looking like the rest dressed in a crappy uniform. The rules were really strict! It felt like a dictatorship, where I couldn´t have my own say in anything!I wanted to go back, but I was too proud to ask mommy and daddy for any help.

I felt like I had no friends, like I was out of place, like if no one wanted me around at all. I started thinking that it could be my behavior that they didn´t like or, just, it could be me the one that had the problem and not them. Maybe my spoiled attitude wasn´t the correct one, maybe acting as an American in China wasn´t the correct thing, maybe, instead, I should have tried to be myself trying to adapt to the society and the culture.

Finally, and for some odd reason, the more I adapted myself into the society, the more I changed. I didn´t know how selfish I had been back at home until I went to China. Then I even had people around me that I ended up considering my friends. Something was different iabout me!The old Jane was gone!Now I was a better person, and this was the Jane I wanted to be.

Around April, my time to go back home and the reality arrived. I didn´t want to leave! I loved it in Shanghai, and I couldn´t bare to go back to the old me! I had to show everyone who I really was, start college, grow up becoming a respectful woman, and hopefully visit that dream land of mine once more, Shanghai.

Jessica was a high school student who was preparing to get into college. She went to the
library to study for the SAT Exam. It was really important to her to get high score on that exam. Recently, Jessica caught a cold, and she had come with a runny nose. When she arrived to the library, there was no empty seat. Just like Jessica, there were many students trying to study for the exam. Wandering around in the library for few minutes, Jessica finally found seats for six people. Because she did not want to waste her time to find a spot to study, she sat down without hesitated and started to study.

However, as soon as she stated study, her nose flew down. It was okay for about first ten minutes but when it constantly bothered her from study.
“I can't concentrate like this.” Jessica whispered.

Jessica wanted to study peacefully but the runny nose kept her from the calmness.

"I want to get rid of this runny nose!" She murmured.

She could no longer to hold her nose. She wanted to blow her nose; however, she was afraid of distracting other people. She hesitated whether she should blow her nose in the library or not. She decided to blow her nose outside. As soon as she stood up to go out, the nose was already running out of her nose, and it was passing through her tip of the nose. Quickly, she grabbed the tissue and blew her nose so loud; she had no choice because if she didn’t blow her nose, her snot would be all over her books. After Jessica blew her nose, she looked around. Everyone in the studying room got distracted and stared at her with a full of hatred.
"I’m sorry. I really had to… I just blew my nose... you know..."

Jessica murmured and sat down.

"Is it having a runny nose a crime? Is it such a big crime to blow my nose here?" Jessica whispered.

She shut her mouth and began to study. About half of an hour later unfortunate thing happened to her again that she wasn't able to stop her nose run. Because she was making a little nose every single minute, people around her evaded Jessica. When she realized that people were avoiding her, she stood up and looked around. Only one man remained in his seat. He didn't seem to hear her nose blowing noise, because he had a headphone in his ears.

Jessica was thankful to him, but when her eyes just met his icy gaze she knew that she was mistaking. Jessica realized that he had heard her nose blowing from the beginning.
So Jessica felt sorry to him. She decided to keep silence even her nose was running down.

Some reason, he was glimpsing, with his pale face, at her more than five times even she did not blow her nose. Jessica thought that the reason why he glimpsed was that she blew her nose an hour ago. She couldn't stay there anymore in the library. She was distracting everybody in the library and could not focus her study anyway because of the nose. So she decided to go back home. When Jessica was packing up her books and her pens, she wondered about him. It was little odd for her that the guy, who was sitting near her, was bothered when Jessica blew her nose only once. Jessica was mad because she felt like a criminal because of him.
"I'll never go back with a runny nose again!" Jessica said it in her mind.

When she stood up and ready to leave the place, Jessica wasn't still able to blow her nose due to the embarrassment and the distraction for another people. The man remained in his seat even after Jessica left the study table. Suddenly, the man’s countenance became relaxed and made a weird sound. Jessica looked back and saw him. Although I could not smell anything because of the runny nose, I could sort the sound. It was very familiar sound for every man. He farted. Jessica now understood the reason why he kept looking at her and looked pale. He held his head down and he whispered, "Oh, it's so comforting…" The man looked back and saw Jessica standing his back. Jessica giggled and told him, “It’s okay. You don’t need to get embarrassed. I know that feeling but in a different way.” Then, she left the library. The man could not put his head up and say anything back to her.

My Handmade Book

One day, a flood attacked a small town, all house are ruined except one. This house belonged to a teacher. He was trapped on the roof and was the only survivor in the entire town. The teacher was a devout Christian. He believed that would be saved from any thing by praying. The God will hear him and will send his angels to him. So, he did nothing but pray. However, the rain was getting heavier and the flood became turbulent.

The first day, the flood immersed the first floor. The teacher told himself: “All I have to do is pray, the god will send his angel to help me.” Then, he kneeled down and prayed. A few hours later, a farmer with a camel came to his house. He came from another town. He asked the teacher if he wanted to go with him, but the teacher refused his invitation politely and said: “Thank you but I’m not leaving, I believe that the god will send his angels and save me”. So the farmer left.

The second day, the flood immersed the second floor. The teacher told himself: “All I have to do is pray. God will send his angel to help me.” Then, he kneeled down and prayed. A few hours later, a man with a boat came to his house. He asked the teacher if he want to go with him, but still, the teacher refused the offer again and said: “Thank you but I’m not leaving, I think God will send his angels and save me”. So the man left.

The third day, the flood almost immersed the entire house. The teacher was sitting on top of the chimney, cold and starving. But he still told himself: “All I have to do is pray, God will send his angel to help me.” Then, he kneeled down and prayed with a faint voice. A few hours later, a rescue team with a helicopter came to his house. They told the teacher to go with them, but the teacher refused and told them: “Thank you but I’m not leaving, I’m sure that God will send his angel and save me”. So the rescue team left.

Few hours later, the teacher was drowned. When he met the God in the heaven, he asked God: “I prayed and prayed in the past three days, why didn’t you send any angels to save me?” The God sighed and told him: “I did. I send a farmer to save you at the first time, but you refused. Then, I send a man to save you, but still, you refused. At last, I send a whole rescue team and try to rescue you from death, but you firmly refused.

It’s good to have principles when achieving a goal, but don’t be too stubborn when others offering helps. Change your mind, think again, it might be your real chance.
